This sauce was developed in Miami Florida in the 40's by my family. This sauce has been a Nelson family staple since way back then. My Grandmother Ann Nelson taught me the recipe and that is where it all started! I like to describe this sauce as a Sweet-Tangy southern style bbq sauce. Its sweet but not as sweet as the others, then tangy with that vinegar note. Tillman's competition bbq team will mix all 3 flavors over low heat to create a unique profile that we use when we are competing in bbq competitions.
